Ramsay Bell

Experience & Activities

Mr. Bell has extensive experience working in the field and in fabrication facilities, domestically and internationally. Born in Ireland and apprenticed as multidisciplined ASME welder, Ramsay worked in the offshore oil & gas industry where he started his inspection and nondestructive testing career.

Thirty years later, Ramsay continues to enjoy solving complex welding and nondestructive testing challenges with an emphasis on advanced ultrasonic testing. Vast experience in welding, visual inspection, Radiographic Interpretation, Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection, and other forms of advanced ultrasonic inspection conducted throughout the world per AWS and ASME codes.

Ramsay serves as a National and International subject matter expert (SME) for USACE in welding quality control and quality assurance across a range of dam and water resources related projects (domestic and international civil projects, interagency working groups, and military).

Mr. Bell is an ASNT Level III in UT, MT, PT & VT, AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector, AWS Certified Radiographic Interpreter, ICC Structural Welding SI, ICC Structural Steel and Bolting SI and NACE CIP 2 Coating Inspector.
