Required Textbook Purchase
To meet certification and regulatory requirements, all students are required to purchase the ASNT Study Guide: Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety (Second Edition) directly from ASNT. This textbook is an essential resource and is necessary for successful completion of the course.
Students may choose between a physical copy or a digital edition, allowing them to begin their studies right away in whichever format best suits their needs.
Please note: due to ASNT’s copyright protections on digital materials, the National Inspection Academy cannot facilitate the purchase on your behalf. All orders must be made directly through ASNT.
Dual Signature Certification
Due to state requirements, the Radiation Safety training certificate will include two signature spaces. Brent Moulton, NIA’s Radiation Safety Officer, will sign to confirm the completion of the online portion of the course. The second signature space is for the student’s current or future employer to sign after providing the required company-specific training during onboarding. This second signature is necessary to make the certificate valid.
